Managing Your Schedule’s Holiday Settings
Managing national public holidays, regional holidays, and project shutdown or non-work block-out periods is simple and ensures your schedule accurately reflects non-working days.
Adding National Public and Regional Holidays
To add national public holidays:
Click the Select Holidays drop-down
Tick all relevant NZ National Holidays checkboxes both the Years and the specific holidays you wish to add to your branch.
Click the Green Add Selected icon to confirm your selections.
A model will pop up notifying you that adding holidays could result in a reschedule due to the day now being blocked off as a non work day/holiday. Press Add Holidays to confirm.
Note: It’s important to expand the listings before making your selection. This ensures you only select the correct holidays, rather than all regional or National holidays.
Adding a Project Shutdown / Non-Work Block-Out Period
To add a project shutdown or non-work block-out period (for example, an end-of-year shutdown):
Navigate to the Create Project Shutdown period box and Type in a name for the shut down.
Next select the the start date, then end date for the shut down. The selected date range will be highlighted in gold.
Once you have completed both steps the Add Shutdown Box will appear in teal for you to click.
- A model will pop up notifying you that adding holidays could result in a reschedule due to the day now being blocked off as a non work day/holiday. Press Add Holidays to confirm.
After adding holidays or shutdown periods, the calendar may take a few seconds to update.
Each holiday or non-work day will be highlighted in teal/blue on the calendar below.
Hovering over any of these dates will display the description for that non-work day (e.g. Anzac Day, End of Year Shutdown 2025/2026, etc.).
You can edit any holidays at any point by scrolling to the top and selecting Manage Holidays. This will pop up the model to select the holiday (s) you wish to delete. You can also access Past Holidays by sliding on the slider to the top right of the model.

Managing Your Schedule’s Working Days Settings
In Classic Scheduling, working days are automatically set from Monday to Friday, with weekends (Saturday and Sunday) defined as non-work days.
However, with Advanced and Enterprise Scheduling, you have the flexibility to adjust your working week. This means you can choose to make Saturday and/or Sunday designated working days within your schedule, depending on your project requirements.
Select the Check Box next to the days you wish to be available to use across your Project Schedules and press Save.
Viewing the Holidays Calendar
The Holidays Calendar displays a full 12-month view of all scheduled holidays and non-work periods.
You can:
Scroll left to view previous years
Scroll right to move forward to future years
In this view, you’ll be able to see all your National, Regional, and Branch Shutdown dates at a glance.
National Holidays are Gold, Regional are Red and Branch Shut Down are Blue.
Hovering over the holiday will give you the name for the Holiday
