Creating a project will open the Project Details screen, where you can input your project information.
Adding Project Information
A project in Rave has the mandatory fields of Project status, Project manager and Project Type, other than that you're just filling in as many fields as you can. You want to include as much information as possible to minimise unnecessary phone calls. However, if you don't have all the information to hand, don't worry. Complete the details you do have, as you can always return later to edit your project's information.
The following is an explanation of some of the key fields to complete.
Project Details
- The Project Reference - is your job number, you can type in your own reference here i.e. a site address, or if this field is left empty, Rave will auto-generate a project reference for you
- The Contract Name - is where you can personalise your client reference i.e. This feature is used for Trades and your staff to easily identify this project using a custom name. This is populated through Rave's schedules, timesheets and financials
- The Internal Reference - is where you can add a non-public reference i.e. an insurance company's claim number, in the case of insurance work
- The Project Status - is a mandatory field, and is customisable via your Project Settings - this requires permission
- The Project Manager - The key point of contact for this project, this is another mandatory field
- You can assign a Quantity Surveyor if required
- Site notes - are important notes to be shared with internal staff and contractors who have access to the project i.e. a lockbox code, or the property has a dog, etc
Property Specifications
- The Project Type - is a mandatory field, and is customisable via your Project Settings - this requires permission
Once you've loaded in all of your project's details, you can click the 'Save' button, which will take you to your Project's Overview.
