RAVE's Project Mail feature allows you to communicate with your projects' Project Manager at a project level similar to email.
Mail Alerts
When you are sent any mail messages through RAVE, you will be alerted via your profile dropdown's white alert bubble, which displays the number of unread mail items. Clicking here lists your mail items, highlighting any un-read mail with a bullet point and in bold. Clicking on any mail heading takes you to that mail item, in that project. Alternatively, you can go to the project's Mail sub-tab to view all of your messages for that job.

The Project's Mail Folders
The project’s Mail sub-tab, will default to displaying ALL Mail you've received for this project. You can filter the messages by clicking on any of the folder buttons:
- All Messages will display mail from your inbox, sent, and draft mail folders
- While clicking on the inbox, sent, or draft folder buttons will display only the mail items from that folder
Sending a new Mail item
To send a new mail item, click on the 'New Mail' button
The New Mail pop-up lets you compose your mail, just like sending an email – you can:
- Choose your recipients, the project manager or office staff, via the ‘To:’ drop-down
- Add a subject line, i.e. Tender submission
- Add a Tag if required – though this is generally left as ‘None’
- Add your mail copy into the body section and format it
- And add attachments to the cloud icon section
- Decide whether you want to make this mail visible to others
- Save as a draft to send later
- Or save as a mail template to send from another project later
Once all required fields and mail copy are complete, you can decide whether to send this to your recipients internally within RAVE and as an external email. You can then click send.
NOTE: Until all of the required fields are completed, the mail item can not be sent, i.e. the ‘Send’ button will be greyed out until all fields are completed.

Commenting on a Mail item
You can reply to mail items by clicking on them and adding a comment. In doing so, you can also choose to:
- Add attachments via the 'Attach File to Comment' button
- Reply to all, or just to the sender
Clicking 'Save' to add your comment - this will also alert anyone internally via RAVE that you've added a comment to the mail item.
Once done, you can click the 'Back to List' button to go back to your Project Mail sub-tab.

The Project's Mail Templates
Any mail templates you've saved can be found via your profile dropdown, your initials in a circle to the top right of your screen, then going to Profile Settings/Templates. Here you can view, and manage all of your mail templates via the action icons to the right of each template, that is:
- View the template by clicking the eyeball icon
- Edit your template by clicking the pencil icon
- Delete your template by clicking the red trash can icon
