Rave Contractor App – Getting Started

This Help Article explains how contractors download the Rave app, accept an invitation from a builder, log in for the first time, and navigate the key areas used day to day.


The following Rave App tutorial is optimised to watch on your mobile phone - portrait mode.  Click here to access our desk-top, or tablet, web browser user quick-start guide.


Download the Rave App

  • Open the App Store or Google Play Store on your phone.

  • Search for Rave Build.

  • Download and open the Rave Build app.

Accept Your Rave Invitation

  • You’ll receive a welcome email from your builder inviting you to join Rave.

  • If you haven’t received it, contact your builder and ask them to resend your Rave invite.

  • In your invitation email, you’ll find:

  • Your username (usually your email address)

  • A temporary password

  • Tap the Get Set Up button in the email to begin.






First Login & Profile Setup

  • Log in using your username and the provided password.

  • You’ll be taken to Edit Profile Details.

  • Check your information and correct any errors.

PIN Setup

  • On your second login, Rave will ask you to set a 4‑digit PIN.

  • This PIN allows quick access to the app going forward.

Your Home Screen

Your Home Screen shows:

  • Quote Requests from builders using Rave

  • Scheduled Tasks assigned to you on builder schedules

Helpful tools on the Home Screen:

  • Filter by Project Manager or Site Manager

  • Keyword search

  • Clickable teal task links to:

    • Request sign-off

    • Add comments

    • Upload photos or PDFs

Notifications & Messages

  • Red and white bubbles on your profile initials mean you have unread notifications or messages.

To view them:

Click your Profile dropdown.

Select Notifications to see updates from builders.

Select Messages to read and reply to project messages.


Contractor Profile & Branch Settings

From your Profile dropdown → Branch Settings, you can:

  • Upload your company logo

  • Update business details

  • Upload product inventory (if permissions allow)

Pre‑saving products makes responding to quote requests faster.


Profile Settings

Under Profile Settings, you can:

  • Edit your profile details

  • Manage notification preferences

  • Set calendar colour preferences

  • Upload your Public Liability Insurance certificate

  • Change your password

Navigation Bar Overview

The Navigation Bar (beside your profile) gives access to:

  • Projects – view projects you’ve been invited to

  • Financials – quote requests, quotes, and purchase orders

  • Calendar – tasks and appointments

  • Help – access the Rave Help Portal 24/7


Projects

  • Click Projects in the Navigation Bar.

  • Select a project name (teal link) to enter the project.

  • Inside a project you can view:
  • Schedule

  • Project information

  • Project notes

Click the schedule pie graph to open the task list view.

Project Navigation Options

Within a project, the Navigation Bar lets you:

  • View Project Files

  • Open Albums (photos)

  • Access Checklists

  • Read and reply to Project Messages


Financials: Quotes & Purchase Orders

  • Clicking Financials takes you directly to Quote Requests.

  • Subtabs include:

    • Quotes – quotes you’ve created and submitted

    • Purchase Orders – orders released to you by builders

The Rave Help Portal is available 24/7 with videos and step‑by‑step guides to help you get the most out of Rave.



NOTE: If you're already an user of RAVE then the invite will simply let you know that you can now access RAVE builds for your new building company with your existing RAVE login.  But, if the username and password displayed in the invite email are NOT the RAVE login details you are already using with your other building companies - let this new building company know what your current login email is, and ask them to re-add you to their system with your existing login profile.




NOTE: Generally the temporary password will last for up to 12 hours, if the password no longer works, or if you’ve forgotten your password, click on the ‘Need Help/Forgot Password’ link to the bottom right of the login screen (or click on this link: https://pro.ravebuild.com/s/password/reset) and type in your login email address to be emailed instructions to reset your password.
