Reassigning a Enquiry to a Different Client

To reassign a Enquiry from one client to another, you must transfer the Enquiry to the new client from the CRM screens. This action will:

  • Update the Enquiry client, and

  • Change the primary client in the Project’s People sub-tab iif there is a project linked to the enquiry


Permissions Required

This is a permission-based action with two required permissions:

  1. CRM Edit Permission

    • Users must have CRM edit rights to initiate a transfer.

  2. Edit Locked Client Enquiry Permission

    • Required only if the Enquiry is already won (locked).

    • Without this, the transfer cannot be completed once an Enquiry is locked.


Permission Assignment

  • The Edit Locked Client Enquiry permission is:

    • Automatically assigned to Branch Owners and Project Admins.

    • Optional for other Tier One users, except for Site Managers, who cannot be assigned this permission.



How to Change the Primary Client Assigned to an Enquiry

To reassign a project to another client, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Enquiry
    Locate and click on the enquiry on the CRM Leads & Clients list and select the enquiry you wish to Transfer. (You can only transfer 1 enquiry at a time)

  2. Access the Transfer Option
    On the enquiry profile page, click the 3-dot menu next to the enquiry reference.
    From the dropdown, select "Transfer to Another Client".

  3. Select a New Client
    A ‘Transfer Enquiry’ pop-up will appear. Use the dropdown to select the new Primary Client.

  4. Complete the Transfer
    Click 'Proceed' to confirm. This will transfer both the enquiry and the associated project to the selected client.


Select the Enquiry

Click the 3 dot menu and select the Transfer to Another Client button


Select the new client


Once you have confirmed who the new client is it will re assign both the Enquiry and Project to them if there is a project linked.
