Rave's Show Home Portal is an online form designed to make collecting new client lead information super easy - whether you're in your show home, at a home show, expo, or another event. Formatted to fit on a standard tablet (or your laptop), it is customised with your company branding, and as long as you have an internet connection on the device, enquiries will be added to your RAVE CRM leads and clients list in real time. And, if you are at a larger event, you can have multiple tablets set up and ready to collect more leads!
Getting your Tablet set up
The Show Home portal needs to be set up first, which involves logging into Rave - by clicking on the CRM button and then selecting the Show Home portal sub-tab. This will open the Show Home portal setup screen, where you make a few quick selections before launching the Show Home portal.
All enquiry details fields are mandatory; each selection made sets the state of enquiries which will be sent to your leads & client list.
- The Sales Pipeline stage (Person drop-down - allows you to set the sales pipeline stage (say '10% Home Show) for enquiries from people, i.e. a person, couple, or a family, etc...
- The Sales Pipeline stage (Organisation) drop-down - allows you to set the sales pipeline stage (say '10% Expo Event) for enquiries from an organisation, i.e. a developer, a trust, a limited liability company, or a school, etc...
- Select your Priority drop-down - this sets the priority for all enquiries from this device for this session
- The Assigned Sales Person field - your name will appear here by default i.e. all enquiries loaded for the duration of this session, on this device will be assigned to you in Rave
- Select your Source of lead - this logs where this lead was generated from, what prompted them to contact you - again, this sets the source of lead for all enquiries from this device for this session
Once done, click the Launch Show Home Portal button to proceed to the registration form.
Note: The selections above are preset via your customisable branch settings - if you do not see a desired selection (say you are at a Home Show expo, but can only see Show Home in your list), contact your branch owner or Rave administrator to update the selections.
The Registration Form
The registration form is your business's customised lead recording portal. There are the required fields of first name, last name, and email, and essentially, you're filling in (or asking your potential client to fill in) as many fields as possible. Google Maps powers the Street Address field. You can start typing an address here to fill in the remaining fields, or manually type in the address details.
Note: Opt into email marketing - by checking this box, you confirm that the client is okay with you sending them marketing emails, whether via our MailChimp add-on or another email service you use.
Once you've loaded all the client's details, click the 'Submit' button to proceed to the 'Add Note to Enquiry' and 'Add Activity' screen.

Once you've loaded all of your client's details, clicking the 'Submit' button will take you to the 'Add Note to Enquiry' and 'Add Activity' screen.

At the top of this screen is the 'Add Note to Enquiry' option. As soon as any text has been added to the 'Type note here and click save' field, the 'Save' button will become clickable, allowing you to save your enquiry note.

Next is the 'Add Activity' section. Type your activity description, what is to happen, into the 'Add title' field, i.e., on-site meeting with Chris from the expo, email our 'Why Renovate with Us' brochure, call Morgan and Tama to arrange a consultation, etc. Rave will auto-populate the remaining fields with today's date, the approximate time and note yourself as the activity owner. You can update these fields as required, and click on the '+ End Time' button to add a meeting end time.

- Add video conference link - allows you to copy and paste your online meeting link, i.e. Zoom or Teams, etc...
- Add location - allows you to add a location or an address. Adding details here will display a handy 'View in Google Maps' icon - clicking on this will open Google Maps in a new tab.
As soon as any text has been added to the title field, the 'Save' button will become clickable, allowing you to save your activity and additional details.
Saving your Client Lead, Notes and Activity
Once you've added any required notes and/or activity, you can click the 'Done' button to complete your entry. If you have not saved a note or activity, a 'Discard Changes' warning pop-up will appear. Otherwise, your new client profile, notes and activity will be sent to your Lead & Client list in Rave, and the screen will refresh, ready for you to add your next client lead.
