If you need to provide a second (or third, etc) person with their own login access to an enquiry, you do so by opening that enquiry - by clicking on the enquiry link via the leads and clients table or anywhere in CRM where you see the enquiry reference hyperlink.

3 Ways to Add a Secondary Client to your Enquiry

Once opened, the current (primary) client is listed to the left of the enquiry, below their name, you will find the '+ Add Secondary Client' button.  Clicking this button opens an 'Add secondary client' pop-up.  Allowing you to add a client in 3 ways:

  1. If your additional person/organisation already has a client profile in Rave, you can find and add them via the Leads & Clients 'Select an existing client' drop-down

Note: Your primary client's name will be greyed out to ensure that no duplication can occur

  2. If your additional person/organisation is an archived contact, switch the 'Show Archived' toggle on and use the Leads & Clients drop-down - selecting them in this way will unarchive their profile.

  3. If your additional person/organisation is not in your client list yet, you can add them and create a client login by clicking on the '+ New Client' button.

Adding a Secondary Client via the '+ New Client' button

Clicking on the '+ New Client' button opens the 'Add new Secondary Client' screen.  From here, click the client type of person or organisation, and essentially, you're just filling in as many fields as you can.  If you don't have all the information to hand, no worries, complete the details that you do have, as you can always return later to edit your client's profile.

Entering a Person vs an Organisation Client Type

  • The person client type has the mandatory fields of first name, last name & email.  If you enter a preferred name, it will be displayed for the New Home Consultants and other staff to see, as that's what they prefer to be called.

  • An organisation client type can be any entity.  This field allows you to add a Company, Trust, School, Business, or other entity type's name.  The organisation's name and email address are the only mandatory fields here.  You will notice that the first and last names of your contact are no longer required fields, and that Rave now asks for the Organisation's liaisons' details.  The liaison is the person who represents the organisation.

Note: Opt into email marketing - by checking this box, you confirm that the client is okay with you sending them marketing emails, whether via our MailChimp add-on or another email service you use.

Once you've loaded all the client's details, click the 'Savebutton to complete the process and return to your enquiry.
You can remove the Secondary Client from this enquiry by clicking on the trash can icon. This action does not delete their profile from the system; it will only remove them from this enquiry.

Once your Secondary Client has been added with their contact details, you can add a third, a fourth, and so on, if you wish.

Clicking on your secondary client's teal coloured name allows you to edit their profile and/or create a client login for them. For assistance with creating a client login for your secondary client, refer to our 'Inviting Clients to Rave' FAQ.
