Once you've logged into Rave you will see the Project tab along the top ribbon. This will display all of the active projects you have been given access to with your builder - you may also see, to the top right any Rave alerts and message notifications.

To access you project list, click on the Projects tab.  To then open a project, click on the view project button to the top right.

Your Project Overview

The Project overview provides you with your Project details.  Including the Project Reference (job number), whether a schedule has been loaded and is active, the project manager's name, and contact details.  If there is a site manager, they'll be displayed here as well.

Project Details
The Project Details sub-tab displays the basic project information loaded by your builder.

Project Schedule

If you've been given access to a project schedule, it will be displayed under the Schedule tab.  Being able to see your project schedule is entirely in the hands of your builder, regardless of whether you have been given a project login or not.  This may be a top-level milestone view, or a limited task view (i.e. assigned tasks only). Furthermore, schedule access is project-dependent, i.e. you may have schedule access for one project and not another.

Project Files

The Files sub-tab is where project files are stored. These may include signed plans and specs, council stamped plans, plan variations or important documents.

Your builder can upload many different file types to various folders, so there may be other folders for you to view.

You can easily download the information stored in these files to your PC via the handy download icon beside your project name.

Project Albums

The Albums sub-tab is where project photos and videos are stored and shared. You can be given permission to upload or view only certain albums within your project.

You are able to click on the album 3 dot menu to export images to PDF or click into the albums and export/download individual items.

Project Checklists

If you have been invited to participate on checklist items the Checklist icon will appear for you to see.

With permission you can add a comment/image to a checklist item and mark items as complete

Project Messages

RAVE's project messaging system is very similar to sending and receiving emails.

You can click on the 'Show' button to open any message that's been sent to you by the builder or messages you have sent to the builder.  Once opened, you will be able to open/view any message attachments.  You can reply to an email that's been sent to you by scrolling down and adding a comment before clicking submit to send.  You can forward this message, add recipients or save a message template for future use.

Once you have read any messages sent to you, you can mark them as read under your profile to clear them.

To send a New Message

To create a New Message to your builder, just click on the ‘New Message’ button to the top right of the screen.  And just like an email, we can select who we want to send this message to, add a subject line, write a message and add attachments, etc.

  • The ‘To’ list - provides the option of emailing the project manager, and/or site manager
  • The 'Subject' line is just like a normal email subject line
  • The 'Category' is a required field that allows you to filter your messages later if required - if one of these category headers isn't relevant, just click 'Other' and type in your own

NOTE: If you select the ‘Other’ category, you do need to type in a Category description to send your message. Clicking on the attachments section will open up your file browser, you can then select any attachment(s) you need to add.

  • You can add attachments via the 'Include an attachment' section
  • And then type in your message - there are some formatting options you can use here as well

Once all of the required fields are completed, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Send'

You will notice that RAVE will also send the message externally as an email, but if you only want to send your message via RAVE messaging - just untick the also send as email tick box.

NOTE: You will notice that there are a number of required fields (To, Subject, Category, and Message Body). These all need to be filled in, otherwise the ‘Send’ button, will remain shaded out i.e. you are not able to send this message until we complete all of the required fields.
