Clients DO NOT get access to their project(s) in RAVE - UNTIL a branch member has created a Client user Login and Password AND has given the client their login credentials.
Once a Client Portal Login has been set-up you can choose to give your client access to the project schedule - if you want to. This FAQ details how to give your client schedule access - and the different options available when doing so.
For a full run-through of how to set up a Client Portal Login and manage project access - check out this full RAVE - Client Portal Set-Up FAQ.
NOTE: In most cases, we recommend allowing your client to see the top-level 'Milestone' view of the schedule, and not any of the Task views - the Task List, Task Gantt, or Task Calendar View.
Client Viewing Access
To give your client schedule viewing access at a project level:
- Find their project via the 'Site|Build / Build Projects' list - and open their project by clicking on the job number, or clicking on the 'Show' button - to the right of the screen
- Click on the 'Schedule' sub-tab, and then the 'Settings' sub-tab - to the right of the various schedule views
This will open the Schedule Settings screen - Scroll down this page to the 'Client Access' section
Here you can tick as many of the four schedule views that you would like your client to access:
- Milestone Gantt
- Task List
- Task Gantt
- Task Calendar - Once you have made your selections, click the 'SAVE' button to confirm
NOTE: In most cases, we recommend allowing your client to see the top-level 'Milestone' view of the schedule, unless you specifically want them to access the Task List, Task Gantt, or Task Calendar View.
NOTE: If you are ever concerned about what the client can access with their Client User Login, we suggest you log in as the client, prior to giving them their login details.
