Branches with the Enterprise Scheduling module, have the ability to customise their project's task colour display when viewing their schedule by the Task List, Task Gantt, and Task Calendar views.  Branch, Site Manager, and Site Staff users, will see the customised colours, while contractors and clients (with access to see the schedule tasks) will see the standard task status colours of grey, purple, green and blue.



To set up Custom Task Colouring 

Setting up custom task colouring is easy:

  1. Go to the project's Schedule Settings screen - by clicking on the Settings button to the right of the Milestone Gantt View
  2. Scroll down to the Custom Task Colouring section
  3. Tick all of the Task Views that you would like to turn custom task colouring on for

 


How to Use Custom Task Colouring

Once you've turned on Custom Task Colouring, for the Task view you are working in, to apply custom colouring to a task:

  1. Access the Task Details pop-up 

    - by clicking on the pencil edit icon of the Task List view
    - or by double clicking on the task description, or gantt task block.

  2. Then in the Colour section, enter the 7 digit Hex Colour Code i.e. #AB47BC (purple), or click on the colour block to the right

    From the colour palette pop-up, you can 
    - select your colour from the colour palette screen, or colour palette slide
    - enter the 7 digit Hex Colour Code i.e. #AB47BC (purple)
    - select one of our task status preset colours (grey, purple, green, or blue)
    - select one of the other present colours

  3. Once you've made your colour selection - click the Task Details 'Save' button to confirm

    This will update the task colour for branch users

    - In the Task List view - this will add the coloured line above the task
    - In the Task Gantt and Task Calendar views - this will change the task block colour 


    NOTE: Contractors and clients with access to the schedule, will see the standard task status colours of grey, purple, green and blue.
