There are two things that we need to do to set up the accounts side of Rave - checking your accounts notification email is set up, and connecting to Xero - if you use Xero for your accounting.

1. Check your Accounts notification person is correct

You will need to ensure that any progress payments, or charge-up, notifications are going through to your accounts person, whether it's an accounts person within the office or a contracted accountant. Those with branch owner access can do this, by:

  1. Clicking on your profile dropdown - your name in black to the top right of your screen
  2. And selecting the Settings dropdown option

This will take you to your Branch Setting sub-tab, where you can add/change your Account Email, and also add/update a Secondary Account Email if required.

NOTE: The 'Account Email' is the accounts contact email address listed on RAVE's documents, the secondary email will also be cc'd on any invoice request notifications.

2. Linking Xero to your account

If you using Xero as your accounting software provider, we can link your Xero account directly to your RAVE account.  Again, those with branch owner access can do this, by:

  1. Clicking on your profile dropdown - your name in black to the top right of your screen
  2. And selecting the Xero dropdown option

This will take you to your Xero Accounts Settings page. RAVE will confirm if your Xero account has, or hasn't been connected - if it hasn't been connected yet:

  3. Click on the 'Connect to Xero' button over to the top right of the screen.

This will bring you to the Xero authorisation screen.
  4. You can link RAVE through to Xero here, by logging in to your Xero account as normal.

Once you've done that, the link to Xero will be complete and any progress payment requests will be sent through to Xero as a draft Invoice.

NOTE: If you're not yet using Xero, the payment notification emails will still be sent to your Accounts Email (and your secondary accounts email if set up) - letting 'Accounts' know that they can charge the client for that portion of the job.
